What’s Playing on Your Radio?

Having been requested to make a post, (even though I have absolutely nothing to say), I’ve decided to make a list of all the bands/singers I don’t like that everyone else on the planet does.

Now, before you read the list, a few disclaimers:

1) This list is not comprehensive. I dislike many more bands, but decided to just stick with 10 so I don’t completely alienate my friends.

2) There is probably at least ONE song from each that I DO like. I just can’t think of it right now.

3) I have no idea why I don’t like them. I just don’t. Maybe it’s me? Maybe it’s them? It’s a mystery.

4) This list is in no particular order. Just wrote it as they came to me.

5) Please still be my friend.

With that, here’s my list for “BANDS OR SINGERS THAT I DON’T LIKE AND WILL CHANGE THE RADIO STATION ON IF THEIR SONGS ARE PLAYED”

1. Matchbox 20

2. Dave Matthews Band

3. Maroon 5

4. John Mayer

5. Jason Mraz

6. Red Hot Chili Peppers

7. Jack Johnson

8. Pearl Jam

9.Bon Jovi

10. Lenny Kravitz

There you go!*

Now, if this doesn’t prove that I have nothing to talk about…

*Please still be my friend.

Hmmm, I'm pretty much going to high five you on all of those except for Jason Mraz, but I will have to say that although I was a huge fan of his "I'm Yours" song, it's been a little overplayed on the radio and I'm a bit sick of it now. And thank you for posting. See, although you may have thought that you have nothing to talk about, you have proven that you can make such a simple subject so much fun to read about. Love ya!

Okay, I can agree with you on most of these. John Mayer freaks me out. He has got to stop french-kissing the microphone!

But Bon Jovi? Ultimate Thumb-Mic-ing Band.

Yikes...I've got all of them on my ipod...but only 5 I consider favorites. It's good that friendship isn't predicated on music tastes :)

i can agree with you on this list, i will most likely flip the radio station if any of these bands pop up unless its a song i am rarely in the mood for.

I'm with Rachel all the way. I wasn't upset by any of the bands/folks listed until #9. What on earth? Sweet Land of Liberty!! I'm still glad you posted even though I'm confused. How do you feel about John Legend? He's my current musical boyfriend, but somehow I'm imagining that he's on your list as #11.
I will of course still be your friend and Keep on posting.

Okay, I deleted the comment, I realized I had a bunch of spelling errors.

Anyways -- I'm behind on commenting, but I needed to say something since I'm so happy you posted. First -- two of those are in my top five of all time. Wow. But the rest I mostly agreed with -- especially Lenny Kravitz, bleh!

Second -- Since you gave us a worst list, can you give us a best list? I would love to see who's on your top 10 best ever list. Keep posting, I miss it.

Awesome! I love the Chilli Peppers and Dave Matthews older stuff was good. . . but honestly, none of my top 10 favorite bands was on your list, so I think we would survive a long road trip together rocking out to some tunes! :)
