Definitely NOT Fluff…

On Wed. night, I became an aunt for the fourth time!! Yay!

(And I spent a few hours on Thurs. watching and holding him. And that’s my plan for tonight, Saturday, Sunday, and so forth.)

Initially, we were calling him “Little Joe” to differentiate him from my brother, Joe. But then Ashlee, my sister-in-law, went in for an ultra-sound and the doctor thought he had a large head. So, we started calling him “Little Big Joe” and the name has stuck.

Ashlee ended up having a c-section (he has a big head, after all), and is doing very well. She’s already been up and walking around.

In case you’re interested, here are LBJ’s stats (the baby, not the President):

Weight: 9 lbs 7oz
Length: 22 inches
Chest: 14 inches
Head: 14 ½ inches!

Yes, his head is a little larger than his chest cavity. And no, he doesn’t look freakish!

To prove that, here are some pictures…

See! A sweet, darling newborn baby!!!

Little BIG Joe--that is an awesome name! I'm glad that it stuck. He's a cute baby (and that is saying a lot because, as we all know, not all newborns are cute. . . we just pretend they are cute while inwardly we are thinking, "Whoa nelly! Poor kid!").
Congratulations!!!

So Cute. Congrats! Isnt it great to be in the aunt club? I'd love a weekend to play the auntie game. Enjoy it--and take tons of pictures.

Future President of the Two-Foot Club. And Brett's right. He actually is very cute, and not just in the all-babies-are-"cute"-when-they're-born kind of way.

How adorable! I'm super jealous. My only niece was born a whopping 20 years ago! Just typing that is scary. If she has kids before I do, I'm gonna be a little bitter cause then I'll be a great-aunt and great-aunts are really old, right?
I do have 5 ladies in my ward giving birth in August/September, so there will be plenty of babies to hold. Let's just pray they are cute. Ummm...and healthy.

What a sweet little face! He looks so peaceful in that last picture. I need one of those hats.

Ah I love newborn babies, when both my niece and nephew were born I would get so emotional thinking how close they just were to our Heavenly Father. I can feel the spirit so strong when a baby has just been born, and I was lucky enough to be with my sister during both births.

Yeah for Joe Wolfe (I slapped my arms when I said that). Does it make you feel weird that Joe is a dad? Strange, but wonderful!

Nothing wrong with having a big head!
